After watching a segment on Court TV last summer, Sandy and I decided to try to speak with Sara ourselves.
What an interesting person she was becoming to be to us. The heiress of her husband, William Winchester’s rifle
fortune, her life depicts that money does not always buy happiness.
Getting acquainted with Sara was easy. When we began the EVP sessions that were to mark a new friendship,
we only set out to experiment and see if Sara could speak with us from the other side. To my amazement, she
first verified her name. Unfortunately, it did not come in loud and clear when we uploaded it and played it back
from the computer. However, I will include it in our sound bytes for you to listen to and decide for yourself.
She then asked me, “If it’s not a problem, Donna, can I have that appointment?” (included below). We knew she
wanted a psychic reading, but I had never done a reading for anyone already deceased, but I did oblige her. We
understood she wanted a reading because on of her statements just before her request was, “"Honor departed?"
(See sound byte below).
We were stunned when we uploaded our digital photos taken out in our back yard one evening! We seen shots
of awesome various mists, that kind that gets your heart racing as you see an apparition either in person or on
film. One was exceptionally odd and, being curious, I turned it sideways. To my amazement, there was the face
of Sara Winchester. WOW! Not even a question or doubt to us, we still wanted to hear from Sara, that this was in
fact her appearing for us. She verified it. The EVP, however, is not a clear one, but can be heard by those with
the same pitch hearing as we have. She told us, “Yes, it's my picture that you botth have".
Last fall, when a “Most Haunted” did a live, interactive investigation, we were happy to be able to participate from
the comfort of our own home. I did a fast EVP, on the spot, just before the investigation began. I asked Sara how
she felt about all of those people being in her home, with moving picture cameras and the like. She responded
with some frustration yet with a sense of humor, “I wish they would all go back to England, ha ha ho ho ha ha”.
She first seemed a little uncertain and somewhat curious as to who was calling for her. Now, I’m almost certain
that we are not the first people to try to make contact with such a legend as she is. As a gifted person herself,
she was an avid believer in the metaphysical and paranormal. As a young girl, Sara goes into her young, married
life with hopes, dreams and anticipations of being a loving wife, mother and friend to others. Yet life had dealt a
terrible blow to her when she lost her infant, baby girl. Several years later, she lost her husband, William. Being
left alone, she begins her journey through the rest of her life in fear, misery and loneliness. Searching for
guidance and direction, she turns to a psychic for comfort and insight. But what she was told was not what Sara
wanted to hear. Still, she abided by the psychic’s advice and began the trek that would keep her entrapped for
the duration of the rest of her natural life here in our dimension.
Sara, a medium of sorts had contacted the spirits many times, and as legend is told, possibly every night. So,
when we called Sara’s name, it is with our intuition that we conclude that she heard us and knew how to
correspond from the other side.
We still speak once in awhile, when there is enough time in a day to do our EVP contact sessions, and we know
our friendship will grow here and beyond this dimension.
